Situated on he outskirts of Leeds City Centre in Roundhay, the home is within walking distance from the magnificent 700 acre Roundhay Park with ease of access to public transport and a range of local facilities and resources.
Kingston Home acquired by Cartwright Care Ltd in November 2019, has been operating successfully for over 25 years with high CQC ratings in all Key Line of Enquiry Areas and has earned an excellent reputation as a homely and caring establishment.
We provide residential care for people who may require a little help with daily tasks, along with nursing care for those with more complex medical conditions / needs.
The home is registered with the CQC to provide nursing and personal care in the following categories:
- Caring for adults over 65 yrs
- Caring for adults under 65 yrs
- Physical disabilities
Our acomodation provides a range of different styles and types of bedrooms, some shared rooms and many with en suite facilities. All rooms can be equipped with electric profiling beds if needed. Residents are encouraged to personalise their rooms as much as possible, having familiar things around them aids their comfort and being part of their home.
Our lounges provide a relaxing, communal atmosphere, with plenty of spaces for activities as well as quiet areas for those who prefer a more peaceful atmosphere or want private time with loved ones.
We encourage as much contact with friends, families and community groups as possible, we believe that everyone should be able to maintain the relations they had prior to arriving with us which is part of our philosophy of care, we understand that good care and companionship is built on lasting, stable relationships.
“Catering services are provided by our trained chefs who can cater for and have experience of preparing meals according to specific / special dietary needs and requirements.
There will always be a range of choices presented to you from our seasonal menu in advance of each mealtime. When the mealtime arrives should you have changed your initial choice, please speak with any member of staff who will be more than happy to help. While we have set mealtimes, we are always happy to provide meals outside of these times if they do not suit you.
Outside of meal times, snacks and beverages are also provided at any time upon your request.
You can choose to attend the dining room for your meals or may wish to have a tray prepared for your room.

At Kingston we offer a range of activities, such as art and crafts, church visits, and plenty of “days out” which our residents cherish dearly.

We have a range of visiting services including but not limited to:
We have a local hairdresser who visits the home on a weekly basis who operates an appointments system, lease speak to any member of staff to arrange an appointment on your behalf. Should you prefer to visit your own hairdresser or have them visit you, this can also be arranged. This service is provided at your cost.
We have a qualified chiropodist who visits the home on a six weekly cycle though can arrange additional visits in between these times if required. Charges to you for this service can be made available on request.
We encourage all residents to have basic eye tests annually. These are free of charge to those over 65 years old, though lenses or frames will likely be chargeable to you if you are not in receipt of pension credit. We work with a range of opticians and can arrange these appointments on your behalf should you wish us to.
Dental visits for the purpose of initial consultation can be arranged to take place within the home, if treatment is necessary, you will likely be required to attend the dental surgery. We can arrange transport on your behalf should this be required.
Specialist entertainers frequently attend the home to provide additional activities and entertainment
